First Aid / CPR

Captain  Haynes provides different types of First Aid and CPR classes to Citizens and Business of the Central Fire District.   Please call 261-2000 or email shaynes@centralfd.org to learn more about whats offered. 

 We will host other CPR and First Aid classes for other citizens and business of Central any time of year, but they must have a minimum of 4-5 people  to schedule a class.

We offer 4 different types of classes. Please read below to see which type you need.  All are classroom based and include instructor, video, workbook and a skills test.  The class times can range from a 4 hour class to 8 hours depending on which course you need. 

American Heart Association link for classes.  WE do not offer all of these so please read below for the ones we offer.

1.  Heartsaver First Aid with CPR : Designed for employee training at companies, corporations, businesses or other entities.  For employees and /or designated first responders who have a duty to respond to a first aid or cardiac emergency because of job responsibilities or regulatory requirements. Cost $14.50 ( $8.50 materials and $6.00 card).
2. Heartsaver First Aid : Designed for employee training at companies, corporations, businesses or other entities.  For employees and /or designated first responders who have a duty to respond to a first aid or cardiac emergency because of job responsibilities or regulatory requirements. Cost $14.50 ( $8.50 materials and $6.00 card).
3. Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid:  This is for individuals involved in child care who have a duty to respond to a first aid emergency because of job responsibilities or regulatory requirements.  This would include child care workers, teachers, foster Care providers, camp counselors, youth organizations, and coaches for children’s sport organizations. $20.00 for class ( $14.00 for materials and $6.00 for card).
4. Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers: This would be EMS personnel, physician assistants, physicians, dentists, nurses, respiratory therapists and others who must have a credential (card) documenting successful completion of a CPR course. Cost is $6.00 for the card.
